He has trained, studied and has been an exercise enthusiast since the age of 9. He has trained other professional athletes to prepare for various events and coached younger players in football and track and field. He has over 10 years of experience teaching abs & back and body sculpting group exercise classes. He has also coached, competed, and designed various of challenging obstacle courses during this time.

He has played in the NFL (National Football League) for 5 years, one year in NFLE (National Football League Europe), a short stint in AFL (Arena Football League) and 3 seasons playing in the CFL (Canadian Football League). He loves to help others reach their fitness goals and to become stronger and healthier. HE IS THE URBAN FITNESS EXPERT.

What "Touchdown" Tony has to say:

Experience has taught me that most clients have been misinformed by the popular press, well-intentioned but similarly misinformed friends, or worse still, unqualified “fitness coaches” parading as the real thing. I see my responsibility as a fitness professional to provide the “fitness truth.” As part of each session, my clients and I spend anywhere from 10-20+ minutes learning the proper ways to take care of their fitness needs.

I consider myself a great motivator whose approach is heavily focused on metabolism-boosting to help my clients turn their bodies into fat-burning machines. I emphasize three synergistic components that must take place in order to obtain the most dramatic results. These components are resistance training, moderate aerobics, and supportive nutrition.

My resistance training uses minimal equipment: stability balls, elastic tubing, dumbbells, medicine balls, and a bench. All the exercises can be easily performed at home without going to the gym or buying huge and expensive machines. I strongly believe in “functional training” -- exercising in a manner that reflects real life movements to recruit stabilizing muscles and activate your “core.” I train my clients the way the body is designed to move. What does that mean for you? More useful strength gains! More than just being able to win a weight-lifting competition, you will become increasingly comfortable taking the stairs, working around the house, buying groceries, carrying your suitcase through the city, and picking up your children (or grandchildren).

Most of my clients see visible results with as little as 12 minutes of moderate aerobic training, assuming that the other 2 synergistic components are in place. When a treadmill, elliptical machine, or bike is not present, I often use a jump rope, calisthenics, or boxing gloves and mitt for a fun and healthy change of pace.

My supportive nutrition strategy is designed to increase metabolism, thereby allowing your body to burn additional fat throughout the day and even while you sleep. With my specialized nutritional approach, clients notice an increase in energy and a decrease in body fat in as little as 4 weeks. My strategy leads to long term, healthy changes. You simply cannot buy those results by swallowing the latest fad pill.
